My experience<\/h2>\n

I have a European PhD in Psychology (University of Barcelona, 2011) and I am a Specialist in Clinical Psychology, having graduated in Psychology (Clinical section) by the University of Barcelona in 1990.<\/span>

<\/span>Once I got my degree I went to London for further clinical training. During my stay in the UK, I started my professional training at Friern Hospital (Hampstead NHS Trust Health Authority) in the field of chronic psychiatric illness. Later on, I specialized in Adult Clinical Psychology at Guy’s Hospital (Lewisham & The Maudsley NHS Trust), in Psychogeriatrics at Hither Green Hospital (Lewisham & The Maudsley NHS Trust) and in Psychosomatic Medicine at The Maudsley Hospital (The Lewisham & Maudsley NHS Trust).<\/span><\/p>\n

I also took the Postgraduate course in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at the Institute of Psychiatry (The Maudsley Hospital)in 1994 and the Master in Behavior Therapy (UNED) in 1995. In 1999 I returned to Barcelona where, after a brief period working in the field of eating disorders, I joined the Teknon Medical Centre and later on the Hospital Universitary M\u00fatua de Terrassa where I’m working at present in clinical practice.<\/span><\/p>\n

Academic field<\/span><\/h2>\n

Regarding academic studies, I am tutor of Psychology (Open University of Catalonia – UOC) and\u00a0 lecturer in the Msc of Clinical Psychology and Health (Institute of Psychological Studies – ISEP).<\/span><\/p>\n

Moreover, I belong to the Board of the Catalan Society of Behavioral Research and Therapy (SCRITC) as Secretary, I am a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), Member of the British Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and Member of the Official College of Psychologists of Catalonia (COPC). Likewise, I am a Cognitive Behavioral therapist, accredited by the European Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (EABCT), and I have the accreditation for EMDR \u2013 LEVEL I training (Asociaci\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola de EMDR).<\/span><\/p>\n

I have written several scientific articles and publications, as well as and self-help books (see Publications\/press).<\/span><\/p>\n
